It was at Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she achieved one of the most unforgettable sporting moments of all time and that was the first-ever perfect 10, on the bars that were asymmetrical. To top it off the six perfect 10s and became the most youthful Olympic silver medalist. Nadia Comaneci was able at attracting international attention to aid in helping Romania get its place on the world map. Her achievement of a score that was unattainable made this sports icon famous and brought gymnastics to the forefront of the entire world. People's view of female athletes also changed due to her performances. The effect of her performances during the Olympics is significant enough that her toe move (release) and her toe step are both named after her in the event uneven bars. Besides Olympics, she showed remarkable performance in the World Championships and European Championships too, making her a living legend and one of the best-known gymnasts that the world can ever be privileged to.
